My son felt pride and accomplishment from the earliest phases of the process to booking jobs with big commercial brands and leading nonprofits. I believe it’s important to remember that each phase, every aspect of this process is valuable. Booking jobs is the cherry on top…but even if we never booked a job…the lessons, demo recording and audition processes alone are truly invaluable. To learn the technology, the accountability that comes with deadlines, learning new vocabulary and expression…each of the moving parts is where I have seen the magic constantly unfold.

To hear your own voice may sound like a minor or obvious benefit, but in an increasingly antisocial world of screens and staying in your own bubble… hearing your voice and expressing yourself creatively and within a discipline is pure gold!
